Research Project: Lunar Surface Thermal Remote Sensing and Its Representative Value
Project Code: FIRE-Astro-250501-LSTRS
Project Start-End Dates: 2025-05-02 to now
People: Y. Güray Hatipoğlu (Principal Investigator, FIRE)
This project aims to utilize available lunar surface data in thermal IR and micrometer wavelength range, as well as all other related concepts and models, and generates insights and relations regarding the lunar surface dynamics.
Among its targets are:- better utilization of the thermal IR and micrometer wavelength data,
- constructing and validating empirical lunar surface temperature models, and
- generating surrogate thermal and microwave data to infer other lunar surface dynamics.
