How to submit a paper to Science Ascend?

Science Ascend is a biannual, free-to-read and free-to-submit scientific journal on astrophysics research, tools, and people. This can only be realized with a steady inflow of articles from the relevant people in the field. For them to submit an appropriate article, below are the related guidelines.
Scope of Articles (Will my paper be a good fit/Is this journal a good venue?
Science Ascend's (hereinafter the Journal) covers astrophysics studies, which includes planetary, solar, stellar, galactic astrophysics, cosmology, missions/instrumentation, and both observational and theoretical studies.
The things excluded from the Journal's scope are: Earth-focusing studies and remote sensing earth observation, codes/software announcement/specifications, republication of conference proceedings/abstracts, and reviews other than the ones focusing on the last 6 months before the specific issue's publication (which means, for an issue to be published in July 2026, a review covering studies within January-June 2026 period is the only good fit).
Types of Articles
The Journal currently published in the following article types:
- Focused recent literature review: A short literature review of the last 6 months in an astrophysics field,
- Lecture note: A lecture note on an astrophysics-relevant topic,
- Opinion article: A piece commenting/criticizing a peer-reviewed or preprint scientific article of the last 6 months,
- Interview: Summarizing an interview the author made with an academician/professional from an astrophysics field,
- Outreach: A discussion on dissemination of astrophysics scientific outputs and knowledge to the public,
- Research report: A report on an observation campaign or a successful/failed hypothesis the author conducted recently.
How to Submit?
- The main filetype to submit here is .odt files from the Libre Office Writer. You can obtain Libre Office via here. The corresponding file should be e-mailed to info [at] fire-ae.org, with the e-mail subject as "Submitting a manuscript in the "[[ARTICLE TYPE]]" category".
- Until a template file for each type of article type is here, prospective authors are encouraged to use common sense to organize their text with the title, author(s), abstract (if relevant), followed by the main content, and references (in APA 7th style).
- The figures, tables, illustrations, and similar content should be in the main .odt file and separately attached to the e-mail. The entire attachment size should not be larger than 20 mb, while the individual image/figures should at least have 300 dpi quality.
